Unable to access web interface

Postby venablc » Wed Sep 02, 2009 5:22 am

Hi,

I am new to vicibox and fairly new to Ubuntu so please bare with me...

I have installed vicibox however when I try to access the web interface (192.168.16.77/vicidial/welcome.php) I get a page not found

I can ping the IP without problem so my intial thought was that maybe the web services aren't running but I don't know how to check this.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Chris V

You can check if your webserver is running by issuing: "/etc/init.d/apache2 status" without the quotes. If it's not running do: "/etc/init.d/apache2 start".

You probably missed a step or two during installation.

I didn't select to install openSSH which seems to be the reason apache wasn't installed but the troubles dont end there...

If I browse to the ip address now I get a page which says "It Works!" However when i try to visit the page "vicidial\welcome.php" as suggested in the installation process the page is not found.

Is there anyway for me to tell that vicidial itself has installed correctly?

I guess it would be easier and quicker to reinstall the system.

You can also have a look at /var/log/astguiclient/ubuntu-vici-install.log

Read stickies:
