Phone does not ring when I log in as agent

Build: 171028-0913

Just getting started. I have created a user and added a phone. I am registered with a voip provider on my zopier softphone. My copy of vicidial is on a laptop in my local network and I can reach it using another computer. I can log in to testcamp as an agent but when I get to the dial screen, I do not hear the phone ring, no accept button and I don't hear "you are the only one in this conference"

What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried setting up your voip provider as a carrier in vicidial? Then setting up a sip or iax2 phone in vicidial, and then logging in to your vicidial asterisk server? Then your softphone will ring, and you’ll hear the woman’s voice.

1) It is not necessary to configure a carrier to log in to vicidial as an agent.

2) This post is from November. I'd hope that PonicsLLC has read the manual by now.
