Which version of Suse/asterisk is used? i.e., if I'm running ViciBox v5 is there any benefit to me installing this when I've been doing svn upgrades anyway?

There is no benefit in terms of ViciDial code. SVN will run the same regardless.
The benefit is in an updated OS with better driver support. It's built using the following:
OpenSuSE v.13.1 64-bit
Asterisk v.1.8.28.2-vici
Bug found and fixed. New version available for download here:

Found and fixed phpMyAdmin install issue.
Updated to new version of phpMyAdmin.
Modfied the 'allcron' cron tab to compress log files so that they can be kept for 30 days instead of 3.
In the process of creating a new manual. Let me know if there's anything you want covered in more detail or better clarified.
