New configuration:
ViciBox5.x86_64-5.0.3.iso on a Dell ProEdge 2950 Server II, 2 quad-core Intel 3.22 Ghz Processors and 16 GB Memory

Every time I log in or out to root through SSH I get mail with the message:
command timed-out at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_vm_update.pl line 190

When I originally did the install I entered erronous data into the LAN settings, but after fixing that she runs beautifully. Except for the error message I posted above. And I cannot get the YAST firewall to work.

If anyone can give me an idea of the best place to start looking to fix my problem, I would be appreciative.

I do want to say that I have been a user of Vicidial at all levels for many years, and v5 impressed me with it's ease of install, and it reacts like a performance machine! Thank you.

check your asterisk version in admin->servers against the actual asterisk version installed (asterisk -V). Fix it if it is wrong.

The vm_update fail has been discussed on the forum a couple times, so search for it and you should get lucky. but it doesn't really hurt anything if you just ignore (or disable) it.

Since you posted only "cannot get the YAST firewall to work", the only possible response is ... then you should fix it. Perhaps a weee bit more information would be helpful. Also, when you do get it going, have a look at the ViciWiki.com "Dynamic Good Guys" install. Even if you don't install DGG, the lockdown instructions that precede it are very handy for securing your Vicidial installation.
