On Hook = No, Getting out from the conference

Hello;

vicibox 4.0.3, vicidial 2.8-404a, Build 130605-0841, asterisk 1.4.39.1-vici, Single Machine, Vtiger 5.4

When Phone configured to be On Hook = NO, so when the agent login, the call will come to the IP Phone to answer it and becoming part of the conference room, right?

The problem in this kind of call center agents that when the agent hangup from the IP Phone (by pressing on the speaker, if he used the handset and hanged up it, by pressing on headset button ... etc), the agent will get our from the conference room and will need to get the call again from the dialer and accept it and becomes part of the conference room. Some how it is missing to be practical ...

I would to know, what is the best setup or practice with the On Hook = No? Is it to use the web phone? Any link and documentation that can help in this direction?

the best setup is to NOT hang up the phone. that's how it is designed.

if the agent does hang up by accident, there is usually a popup that will allow "call the agent again". you COULD request an option to have this available all the time for agents who are clumsy. as an option. interesting.
