Hi

what are trying to achive with VicidialNow ?

VicidialNow is not a PBX its Predictive Dialer

is that your requirement is correct.

if yes, VicidialNow is automated CD, it will boot and install
right from scratch level, its based on CentOS.

read full information about Vicidial before you are asking some questions

Hi Ram,

Thanks for you answer.

I'm a liitle bit confused (I am a totaly beginner with asterisk and vicidial).

My intention is to use ViciDial as a belended solution (also for inbound and outbound).

I have read ViciDialnow will install evrything starting from OS, Asterisk and Vicidial I am I right?

If is so before to start what SO should be a computer. As I have read in Know Problems, iso file won't start without some cmds

Thanks,
Silviu

You need to buy the Manager's and Agent's Manual to know how to operate Vicidial properly. Get it at http://www.eflo.net.

ok just reinstall your system first. then after that login to the system then run this command

#mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
#cd /root
#tar zxvf /mnt/cdrom/vicidial.tar.gz
#cd Vicidial
#sh install_vici.sh

after doing that your vicidialNOW is set and running.

Btw, start learning linux then asterisk.

go to voip-info.org and search asterisk or download the opesource asterisk book. search it in google with the keyword "The future of telephony"

Hi,

I have to mention I have a 750 MHZ computer with 512 MRAM, I tryied to install from scrach Asterisk and Vicidial. In the document is specified to install Slackware but because of BIOS I can't use the boot disk provided from Slackware.

How to copy the slackware kit if I dont have nothing installed on computer and then to try to install it from my hard. I tryied with a bootdisk but I can't access the cdrom to copy the folder.

Thanks,
Silviu

You should have at least a basic understanding of Linux to start with Vicidial. Know the basic commands in navigating the system first.

If you want to install VicidialNOW, try getting a computer that can boot from the cdrom drive.
