Screen monitor

Postby Trying » Sun Jan 20, 2008 9:29 am

Hi

Is there currently a way to monitor the live screen of an agent? If not, maybe a future feature?

Thanks!

the live screen of the agent?

the only for you to be able to do it is to use a vnc server installed on the agent's computer :(

even though some dialers can do screen capture but it would entail that vicidial have a client installed on the agent's computer.

I see that it is a feature in gnudialer - not sure how they do it though.

Im thinking along the line that gnu dialer is using java or something ( I have 0 clue because I havent seen it) they must have a vnc client somewhere in their code.

I have a few clients using VNC to do this. They have set static IP addresses for all agents and have created a special AST_timeonVDAD_all.php script with links to VNC into the agent stations. This requires quite a bit of control over the agent stations, not to mention the setup and configuration of VNC on each station which would vary quite a bit depending on their specs and OS being used.

I do not have access to the code actually. It is highly customized and ties into some other internal systems of theirs(time-clock, security, etc) so I'm not sure how useful it would be to the rest of us if I could get it.
