Login Agent Check

Postby tbenson » Thu Jul 19, 2007 1:09 pm

We had a few issues where people were dragging the image buttons and putting the script on a bar. They subsequently clicked it and opened a new tab in Firefox. A login tab to vicidial. Now I am not argueing the intelligence of the agents, they are on the phone and log back into vicidial while talking to someone. BUT this seems to drive the system nuts, either with not answering the new inbound call and causing a blue agent screen, being on the wrong agent screen, etc. etc.

I was thinking (and we were going to try to code it today) of a login process that checks for agents being signed in and then puts a message up asking them to find the original window, or click to log themselves out of the conference room, and then allow them to sign in.

There are a lot of complex issues involved in that one, as soon as the agent tries to login currently, their old sessions are invalidated so the AJAX no longer works on those old screens. It would take a bit pf programming to be able to do as you suggest.
