G729 codec not loading,

i am facing problem with asterisk 1.4 (goautodial 2.4) , am trynna upload g729 codec in asterisk but it does not load. below mentioned error i get on asterisk.
go*CLI> load codec_g729-ast140-gcc4-glibc-pentium4.so
[Apr 9 14:03:25] WARNING[9209]: loader.c:382 load_dynamic_module: Error loading module 'codec_g729-ast140-gcc4-glibc-pentium4.so': /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/codec_g729-ast140-gcc4-glibc-pentium4.so: undefined symbol: ast_format_g729
[Apr 9 14:03:25] WARNING[9209]: loader.c:777 load_resource: Module 'codec_g729-ast140-gcc4-glibc-pentium4.so' could not be loaded.
i downloaded the codec from asterisk.hosting.lv and copied file through winscp into /usr/lib/asterisk/modules
please guide me the right way to upload codec.
