Vicidial & Avaya integration - for Vicidial Team

Postby TexWiller » Fri Nov 30, 2007 3:32 am

Hi all guys,
I live in Rome, Italy and working in a international call center society (more then 1500 seats around Italy and abroad).

I'm testing Asterisk solutions for call centers since this summer and I've found some very useful stuffs.

We have a "really big!" Avaya based voice system but, of course, everything here is truly expensive; we also use software like Genesys for inbound calls

I'm developing a system integration from Avaya systems and Asterisk/Vicidial system; it should be a great deal for everyones looking for cheap addons to their platinum-style  Avaya system
Addons like:
- Predictive/Progressive system
- IVR
- Call recordings

Integration is made using a h323 ip-trunk (Avaya make calls, no need of any ISDN card: here's the main advantage!)

Will you interested in such thing?

By now we have in testing environment a fully functional Vicidial system and an IVR db-based, everything running with Avaya link; Vicidial also works great with Avaya proprietary phones (non SIP) 8)

I have not been able to test with h323 mostly because I cannot find a provider or equipment here in the US that supports it. What h323 library are you using with Asterisk?

I've tested most of them, the best results are with openH323; I've tested it several months and it work fine; I'm pretty sure that an integration with Avaya systems will be useful and will give more visibility for Vicidial in a call center environment

If you think that this could be helpful let me know :P

Also, we will test Asterisk (not Vicidial, of course) with Genesys that now activeely support it

Hi TexWiller

I'm interesting. I've got problem with h323 avaya and vicidial 2.2.1 with Asterisk 1.4 integration. Calls working fine, but in agents screen permanently channel/H323-xxx disabled.

Can you say versions of h323 channel driver, version of pwlib and maybe some details about integration?

Thanks.
