How does VICIDIAL work with softphone only

Postby landra_12 » Thu Jun 29, 2006 9:08 am

Hi,
I use asterisk for call between many computer in the LAN where I have installed Softphone (SJphone 1.30.249d). It works properly, we can make a call from one computer to another computer. Now I have installed VICIDIAL astGUIclient for the furtur call centre but we do not install FXO card yet but I want to test the call center before only with softphone. My problem is that when I log in agc/vicidial.php I see this message: no one is in your session and when I make manual call there is nothing. Can somebody help me please

For you Asterisk server since you have no zaptel hardware what are you using for your zaptel timing source?

Please post Asterisk CLI output from when you try to login.

Thanks for your answer

For the zaptel timing source I didn't install or configure something. I don't know how to see what is configured. But when I call 8600051 with my softphone I see these lines in the console:
Launched AGI Script /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin/VD_hangup.agi
-- AGI Script VD_hangup.agi completed, returning 0
-- Executing MeetMe("SIP/201-a369", "8600051") in new stack
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/meetme.conf': Found
-- Created MeetMe conference 1023 for conference '8600051'
-- Playing 'conf-onlyperson' (language 'fr')

but when I log in agc/vicidial.php I see only these lines repeatly in console:
Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': Found
== Manager 'sendcron' logged on from 127.0.0.1
== Manager 'sendcron' logged off from 127.0.0.1
== Manager 'sendcron' logged off from 127.0.0.1
Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': Found
== Manager 'sendcron' logged on from 127.0.0.1
== Manager 'sendcron' logged off from 127.0.0.1

What is the output of this command: 'screen -r'

Ok
for the screen, I have installed it according to the scratch_install but it doesn't work. When I put screen -r in the cmd line the response is :
-bash: screen: command not found

when I log into the vicidial, 1 record is inserted in the vicidial_manager :

man_id=153
uniqueid=0.0000000
entry_date=2006-06-30 11:48:02
status=NEW
response=N
Server_ip=192.168.0.20

cmd_line_b=Channel: SIP/201
cmd_line_c=Context: default
cmd_line_d=Exten: 8600051
cmd_line_e=Priority: 1

Well, screen is needed for VICIDIAL to work so you need to get it installed. Were there any errors at compile time with it?

What distro of Linux are you using?

When I install it there is no error. These are my system properties:

ntel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.50GHz
CentOS release 4.3
Asterisk 1.2.7.1
MySQL - 4.1.12
Perl 5.8.5

do a "locate -u" then "locate bin/screen" and see if anything appears. It might just be installed somewhere that is not in your PATH

Run this command at Linux Command line and try "screen -r" again

"ln -s /usr/local/screen-4.0.2/bin/screen /usr/bin/screen"
