Clearing the list automatically

Postby Dima_V » Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:12 am

Hello,

I have a question about configuring Vicidial server.
Say we have a list and leads for that list are calling during the day.
If we do not clear the list, the calls continue the next day.
Is it possible to clear the list automatically, so that no calls to occur the next day.

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method (11.X.X?) and vicidial version with build (VERSION: 2.X-XXXx ... BUILD: #####-####).

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "manual/from scratch" you must post your operating system with version (and the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system) plus a link to the installation instructions you used. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (EG: vSphere Version 6.X.X). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox 11.X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC Mbd | Core2Quad Q6600 CPUs

3) Modify the list => "Expiration Date"

the leads remain in the hopepr is the problem, you would need to reset hopper before dialnig the next day or use automation software such as zapier or n8n to automatically do it

I mean yes .. and no.

When local calling time is not 24 hours, the hopper should clear itself overnight and reload when leads are once again within the local time zone allowed calling times. Since the leads are still in the list, they'll just repopulate. Unless, of course, the system is set to 24 hours dialing in which case you are 100% right.

Thus the "expired list" concept. But I had overlooked "still in the hopper" and the 24 hour dialing possibility being an issue. Once in the hopper, leads do not leave unless they are out of the time zones allowed or "get dialed". Not positive they are removed from the hopper if the list is expired, although I would expect it ... I have not explicitly checked this. Good catch.
